Atlantis has been a well established civilization for several centuries, but once Zeus the great god of the city sank it all seemed lost. The city was believed to never seesunlight again.
Earth has been abandoned by most, the population is a couple thousand. Some have found an island where there is refuge and protection. They found a very small part of Atlantis that made its way back up. These refugees weren't alone, others inhabitted the island. Animals of all species, they had human charateristics and features, and they even shared their abilities. The humans left on Earth were gifted. Some could fly, other could shape shift, and some controlled the elements. Yet some were ordinary humans.
These ordinary humans resented those who were gifted, and called themselves the "true sapiens". They would kill the gifted, hunting them down. The gifted though found refuge on Atlantis, along with some ordinary humans who didn't mind not being gifted, but were happy that they were different.
It has been only a century since the gifted found refuge in Atlantis. It seems trouble is starting to brew on the outside of the city walls. Will Atlantis last, or will she fall once again to the oceans floor to rest for another eternity.
