They are both human, the "Chief" how ever has been through genetic enhancements and all that crazy stuff to turn him into the ultimate fighting machine. The armor he is wearing also boosts his strength, stamina, how high he can jump, speed, eyesight, accuracy, reaction time (reflexes), and accuracy!!!!!

Ah, I see that you know your halo lore. Samus Aran's parents died when she was 8 from a space-pirate attack on the station that she was residing on and the Chozo (they are inter-dimensional beings...) picked her up, infused her with their blood and then trained her in their style of combat and made her the power suit and the other enhancements. Somewhere between Metroid 3 and metroid: Fusion, she stops being a bounty hunter and works for another company after they had obviously reverse engineered one of the most powerful suits of armor in the history of the galaxy and introduced the Metroid genome into her bloodstream. The gravity suit is much more resilient, can handle the most of extreme temperatures and by that time she'll've had the screw attack and space jump. Chief'll bite it, unless its from a very long range and he is in possession of a SPARTAN laser or a shoulder mounted MAC. the laser probably wont do much to samus, but the MAC will screw her up bad. BTW, I know exactly what reaction time is. I've been in martial arts all of my life. Lets just call it a draw, so I dont have to waste all of my vast knowledge of BOTH series of games and books and fanfiction (bleh) on this.

No, you have it wrong.... the rank is not from the United States Navy, it is from the UNSC (the United Nations Space Command) Navy. It is a fictional interplanetary military alliance set in the Halo series. If you have read the book you would know this and that it is the way I typed it.

Wrong again! Spartan-117 weighs a little over half a ton (over 1,000 lbs) in his Mjolnir Mark V (I think he is at Mark VI by now (I will know when Halo 3 comes out)) armor. With out his armor (I am getting this stuff from the books I have so I know exactly what I am talking about) their reaction time is under 20 milliseconds, they can lift 600-700 lbs, their bones have had a titanium alloy grafted on to them and that makes their bones almost unbreakable, they can see in the dark because of the augmentations done to their retinas, because of the augmentations they are on average 7' tall and the tallest "Sam" is about 7' 4" tall, they all have very good accuracy at 700m, and they are all fearless. With the armor, they have regenerating Shields that protect them from harm, they all have superb accuracy at 1,000m, can lift 1 ton (just lift (I did not say curl or bench press)), their reaction time has gone from under 20milliseconds to un-charitable, they can rune in bursts of speed at 35kph, and can survive very long falls (in Halo: First Strike Spartan -104 Frederic "Fred" and 27 other Spartans have to bail out of their Pelican dropship because it is out of control. They bailed out at 8 km up with out parachutes and only 4 were killed because of this. During free-fall, the Spartans were traveling at a speed of 130 METERS per second. In order to slow them selves down, they tried to hit a tree head on or land in a lake/other body of water. like i said, 4 died and 12 others had either broken bones or contusions (bruises). 6 of those 12 have more serious injuries and cannot keep up with the rest of the Spartans, so they have to fight in a fixed position. Why is this important? Because if anyone else (including Samus) tried that, they would have been killed. Heck, Spartan -087 "Kelly" had the worst injuries of all of the Spartans that survived this. She had low blood pressure, high body temperature, moderate bleeding in her liver (a fatal condition if not treated), and her right lung was completely collapsed, yet she was still fighting in peak shape. This proves that ALL Spartans are almost unstoppable and that goes double for "Master Chief" since he is the most experienced Spartan. What is Samus gonna do? Her arm cannon things rounds do not travel very fast (though when over-charged are quite effective), and it would be a cinch to dodge. plus even if she did hit "John", he would survive a direct hit because of his armor and shields. Finally, If it got up close and personal Master Chief would have no trouble A) breaking her back B) preforming brain surgery with his fist C) snapping her neck or D) knocking her legs out from under her and preforming a "Curb Stomp" (from Gears of War) while she is down. Then again, he would not take a chance of getting seriously injured (because it is his duty to fight the covenant till his dying breath) and he would put a 14.5x114mm armor piercing, fin stabilized, bullet through her head from over 1,000m away. Game, Set, Match. Spartan -117 Petty Officer Master Chief "John" FTW!
