Welcome to your worst nightmare and wildest dream
So I see that your new to Adelle, love, or is confused just how you normally look? Don’t glare at me now, I might just walk away, leaving you all alone in this hell we call home. I’d give you a week to die, maybe less since you do look a bit pampered for someone living in Adelle. Well now aren’t you looking a bit pale, did I scare you perhaps? Good, you should be frightened, in fact you might want to break into tears or fall on your knees to pray to your god right about now. It’s best to get that out of your system because, and I’ll say this slowly, it doesn’t work. Your god has forsaken you and your tears are only useful to be desalinized and sold as fresh water. There is no pity for the weak here, only the strong survive.
Now, now, don’t look at me like I’m lying, I speak only the truth. Though it’s in your nature to deny the horrors like these, your human after all, or are you? For all I know you might be Shifter soon to be exiled to that ruined city, or a Shadow encased in layer upon layer of illusion. No, let me guess you’re a Hex, with nature as your ally and sword. For you certainly don’t look like a Monstrosity, I think I would notice if you had limbs belonging to something other than a human. But race is fickle thing around here, a shadow one day then an estranged like me the next so I suppose I shouldn’t really care. In the end we all shall suffer here, paying off the debts of our foolish ancestors.
Oh you think that’s unfair, do you? Well this is what happens when science gets it’s grubby little hands on nature’s best gift to us humans and decides to mass produce it. It appears nature didn’t like that very much since, you know, half the world’s population just vanished into thin air and the land is merely a sicko’s version of a jigsaw puzzle. Oh dear it’s that baffled expression of yours again, must I explain everything? After The End or what Adellens call the event that changed the world as we know it, bits and pieces of the land were haphazardly stuck together merging hundreds of cultures and people. The resulting riots lasted years and somewhere in the chaos we forgot ourselves. Now there is but one language, one religion, and one leader, perfection right? Only time will tell but I wouldn't bet on it, for there seem to be cracks appearing in the system. Cracks that might lead to war or something much much worse.
So my love, can you survive?[/font]
