REPEAT OFFENSES AGAINST ANY OF THESE RULES MAY RESULT IN POST AND KARMA REMOVAL, TEMPORARY BAN, OR PERMANENT BAN.
General Rules:
1) This is a PG website unless otherwise specified. If you want to use PG-13 language, use the PG-13 button as described in “buttons and descriptions.” Or you can label your entire thread PG-13 by including “PG-13” or “explicit” or “mature” in the title of the thread or by choosing the exclamation point message icon.
2) No slandering, sexism, racism, pornography, violence, threats, etc.
3) No fighting OOC. Playing around is ok, but if you begin to affect others or are getting out of hand, you may be temporarily or permanently banned.
4) If any posted pictures (including signatures) stretch the page, they will be removed by mods.
5) You may have as many accounts as you’d like, but only one may have a rank beyond that of warrior.
6) Only one character per account.
7) You may post youtube videos and pictures, but only if they are PG-13 and below. If they are PG-13, then they must be labeled as such.
8) If you are leaving for a while or forever, please post in the “Going Somewhere” board to let us know.
9) Be active. If you join, we expect you to participate. If you don’t want to be active, don’t join. Any members who have less than five posts and/or are not activated after one month (30 days) of membership will be deleted.
10) Any member whose character is warrior rank or above and "dies" in an RP or becomes inactive for more than three months will be placed in the group "Deceased".
11) Members whose character is warrior rank or above and "dies' IC may join StarClan. StarClan members have the ability to roleplay. Please read StarClan Duties and Rules for more information.
12) A maximum of two banners is allowed. These cannot be of excessive size or movement or an admin will ask you to remove them or will themselves remove them.
13) Do not advertise or attempt to affiliate on any boards but the advertise/affiliate boards.
14) All members should read Rank Descriptions and Post Requirements Per Rank.
Chatbox:
1) Light profanity only (ie: hell, bastard, and shit), but in moderation. Excessive profanity will end in your termination of the cbox and revision of the rules.
2) No advertising. If you want to advertise, do so on the advertise/affiliate boards.
3) No slandering, racism, sexism, pornography, etc.
4) No posing as another character.
5) No profane pictures or youtube videos. Pics and vids must be PG or PG-13. If they are PG-13, they must be specified as such.
6) No flooding. That means you may post only three consecutive messages before someone else posts. No more.
7) No fighting.
IC Posting Rules:
1) All IC posts must be in third person singular past.
2) No godplaying. Godplaying is when you control another character’s thoughts or actions, directly or indirectly.
3) No godlike characters with special powers or invincibilities. Characters may have special traits. If you are unsure whether your character’s abilities are acceptable, please PM a mod.
4) IC posts must be well written. They must be 100+ words and contain correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. There are automatic spell-check and thesaurus buttons and if you use google chrome there is a word counter.
5) In IC, Clan cats must follow the Warrior Code. This is detailed on “Erin Hunter’s Warriors” and “Wikipedia.”
6) If your character wants a mate or kits, you may post on the “Mates” or “Kits” subboards. Kits and apprentices may not have mates or kits and thus cannot post on these boards. Medicine Cats must ask the permission of a mod before having a mate or kits. Do not post graphic accounts of breeding or birthing.
7) Apprentices may have mentors, and vice versa. If your Clan character is of warrior rank or above and you wish it to be a mentor, contact your leader to request an apprentice or post on the “apprentices” board. If your character is an apprentice and you wish it to have a mentor, contact your leader to request a mentor or post on the “mentors” board.
8) Cats may only receive prophecies if pre-discussed with mods.
9) Fighting and battling are allowed on specified boards. Please read Battle Rules for more details.
Small-scale Battle Rules
1) Small-scale battles are defined as six (6) cats total or less.
2) Small-scale fights may occur in any location, not just areas marked “Battles Allowed.” However, if the thread escalates and more cats join (7 or more cats total), then the thread is considered a large-scale fight and must be moved to a “Battles Allowed” area. One member participating in the thread must request a mod to do this.
3) All battle threads must say “Battle” in the title. If a thread begins normally and becomes a battle thread, “Battle” must be added to the title once the first dice has been rolled.
4) For each battle post, the member posting must press the dice button (next to the PG-13 button) a certain number of times determined on the “Dice Rolls Chart” below.
5) The more cats you have on a side, the more likely that side will win due to the increased number of dice rolls.
6) Once a battle begins, it must be determined when it will end. Battles can be ended on a time-based or point-based system. If time-based, the battle will last a certain predetermined time (usually one week, two weeks, four weeks, or eight weeks) and then will be locked by a mod per request. If point-based, the battle will continue until one of the teams achieves a certain number of total points determined by dice rolls (usually 50, 100, or 200 for small-scale battles).
7) The exception to the time-based battle rules in #6 is if a team is so overpowered that they are behind by at least half of the total points decided upon (ex: if the total decided upon is 200, if one team has 150 points and the other has 50, then the thread will be locked and the team with 150 points will be declared the winning team.)
8) In both time-based and point-based battles, the winning team is determined by a pre-set amount of points, determined at the beginning of the battle (usually 50, 100, or 200 for small-scale battles).
9) Kits and Queens cannot fight.
10) Medicine Cats and Medicine Cat Apprentices may participate and roll dice to add to the total for their side, but they may not fight IC.
11) StarClan may influence small-scale battles through dice rolling.
12) All posts in a battle thread must adhere to posting and general rules.
13) Mods regulate all battles and may take away points as they deem necessary. However, if a mod takes away more points than seems fair, please contact another mod immediately to report the problem.
Large-scale Battle Rules:
1) Large-scale battles are defined as seven (7) cats or more total and may be Clan(s) vs. Clan(s).
2) Large-scale battles are only allowed in areas marked “Battles Allowed.”
If point-based, the battle will continue until one of the teams achieves a certain number of total points determined by dice rolls (usually 200, 300, or 500 for large-scale battles).
8) In both time-based and point-based battles, the winning team is determined by a pre-set amount of points, determined at the beginning of the battle (usually 200, 300, or 500 for large-scale battles).
14) Multiple Clans can team up together to battle. However, three Clans cannot gang up against one Clan.
15) Certain territories can be claimed through a large-scale battle. The territory (board) will be moved to the winning Clan's category. These territories are marked “Battles Allowed: Claim.”
16) After a large-scale battle has been fought on any given territory, there cannot be a battle on that territory again for at least one month (30 days) after the last day of the previous battle.

4) The Gathering will end exactly three weeks (21 days) after it begins. At 12 AM midnight Eastern Time exactly three weeks after it has begun, a moderator will lock the thread.
5) It is recommended due to #4 that Leaders wrap up their announcements by the middle of the third week.
6) The Leaders of each Clan will create an announcement saying who has been chosen from each Clan to go to the Gathering and events to be discussed. If Medicine Cats have generated any prophecies (as described in Medicine Cat Duties, those should also be discussed on this thread. Each Leader will also send out a PM to the members of their Clan who have been chosen reminding them of the times, dates, prophecies, etc which will also include the new password to Fourtrees which is generated anew with each Gathering.
7) This password (#6) should not be shared. Any concern about those chosen to go to the Gathering should be taken up with Moderators.
