Which do you think is better and why? For me, its Kindles because the Nook's touch screen is sooooooo annoying!

I've heard that the best advantage of Nook is the color but that Kindle has better clarity, a better screen, and is more durable. But I've never owned one.

Yeah...the nook also wieghs more. Yeah, it does have color but the color drains the nook of its battery so....KINDLES RULE!!!!!!!!!!! I have one.

I don't like either of them, even though I've never had either of them...lol. I can't afford them and I like reading books that I buy from bookstores (even though all the ones near me went out of business). Maybe I'm just over-reacting but I also don't like them because I'm afraid that more bookstores might go out of business because of them x.x

Yeah, good point. But I got my Kindle for my B-Day so it didn't cost me and the books on the Kindle are way less cheap so in my opinion, Kindles rule! ((Especially if you get one for your birthday!))

Bright: THANK YOU! That's how I feel. My boyfriend and I are infuriated by the way bookstores are going out of business, and neither of us likes the thought of reading from a screen instead of feeling the weight of a book in our hands. I like the way they smell too, and the tiny imperfections of the ink.

I prefer books any day. I can't look at a screen for a long time without my eyes starting to strain. And when I read books, 50% of the time it will be all day. :/
I'm sad for the book stores too. D: I think it's Borders is the one that's going out nationally, right? I have one in the mall and they're reducing everything to 35% now. (It progressively gets cheaper as the days go by.) So any book I want, I just buy from them now.

Yeah. Borders is going out of business. It was my favorite bookstore besides Barnes and Nobles. I am sad!

When I order online I do Barnes & Nobles because they ship the fastest. :3

I've never even heard of Borders. But Books a Million almost went out of business a few years back. They're slowly making a come back, but they're not doing nearly as well as they once did. Very sad, yes.

Yes. Thank you. I downloaded Northanger Abbey for my Gothic Literature class since I forgot to buy it from B&N. It's been so difficult to read it. If it was a book, I'd probably be at least half way done now. I'm only on chapter 3. Fail.

I finished it. Kind of. I mostly just read the sparknotes and skimmed the novel. It is particularly boring. Just when you think it's going to get interesting...nothing happens. For example, Catherine goes to Northanger Abbey and thinks it's going to be all gothic and creepy, so when they show her to her room, she sees a chest next to the bed, and thinks there is a body in it. She opens it and sees hats and umbrellas. Then, she sees a mysterious chest of drawers in the corner, which is illuminated by the lightning of a coincidental thunderstorm, and she goes to it and opens it, and there are mysterious manuscripts. She carefully opens one, and then her candle goes out. She stays up all night wondering what could be written on the manuscripts, and when morning comes she eagerly gets up and starts to read. They are water bills. Bleh.

Thanks for the sarcasm. I really needed that. Do you like how I used sarcasm to retort at your sarcasm? I am an artiste.
