I just got this PM from ProBoards:

So, if we got the new domain name, we'd be easier to search on google, and could go ahead and start over on members, etc. BUT, the old domain is so dear to me. It's been starclan13 for five years now. But it could be warriorsthelostgeneration.boards.net if we wanted. How cool would that be?

I say we do it. That would be awesme! No more cluutered up member boxes, more members that would be able to search us. It would be amazing! But, Fro, would you still modify my profile to be leader of Windclan? How would that work?

That's the part I'm confused about. Does it mean that everything HERE will stay unchanged, or that everything will be forwarded to the new URL?

I also think we should do it. It would be certainly a nice change and I feel like we could do a lot of "spring cleaning" so to speak.
I don't really know Fro, is there a way you can email or message the Proboards people and ask?

So basically we would be starting from scratch... I don't know. It would be a fresh start but it would be kind of a pain to transfer everything over and then members would have to create a new account and stuff. But I'm on board for either staying or going!

Isn't this a paid feature? I'm pretty sure it's like 10$ to switch it... You willing to do that Frosty-pop? It's a problem for me on my site, as I don't have a job, but idk about here. Also, I feel like it wouldn't be worth it, just for a new name. It's been a really great run with the name, I don't see any reason for changing it. Switching things over would take forever as well. We're already established, I think we should let things be.  |

I got her back seriously though I did, but she lied to me and said she wasn't coming back until summer.  oh well... Always been a flimsy one! XD I'm in such a weird mood, forgive me. Icey, you can't spend $10?  are you really that broke? I'll pay for you anytime. I'm sure Fro would pay $10 if we all agreed upon it. Like I was saying before, it makes sense but it also doesn't make sense in some aspects. I could go either way! I'm on board with whatever! |

Ack, I don't wanna make this kind of decision!!!
I'm more apt to stay the way it is. Although a new URL would mean a fresh start, we would miss all of the old members profiles, we wouldn't be able to carry our posts over, and it would just be a lot of work (which I'm not willing to put in right now because I'm working a lot with my internship and taking care of puppies). But if someone else would be willing to redesign the layout and transfer over a bunch of stuff, then I wouldn't be too opposed. But I agree with Icey (OHMAHGAHYOU'REALIVEEEEE!!!!): it already has a homey feel to it. I'd miss this place if we transferred, honestly.
