Okay, I kinda feel like RPing, but I don't really know how StarClan cats can do anything except go into cats dreams. That's kinda boring in my opinion. What else is it that I could do for RPs since there is a limited number of StarClan cats to interact with. I think three resurections for poor old Ivystar/pelt (or whatever the heck my surname is in StarClan) is kinda excessive. Does anyone have any ideas for how StarClaners could RP other than in just dreams?

Well, dreams CAN be exciting. I have two alternatives for you though: 1) The Erins have been making dead cats more prominent in the books. Consequences in dreams happen in reality (wounds), and there was even an instance of dead cats fighting alongside live ones in the living realm. I suspect this will be delved into deeper with the next upcoming series which is a prequel to the Clans (Or the tales of the beginnings of Warriors themselves). [END OF SPOILERS] A RP we have here already has a dead cat (Frosty-pop) interacting with live ones on a casual basis. I think it would be eerie and kind of cool if the past dead cats roamed the now empty forest, desperately clinging onto the past way of life with crumbled clans. This may be the direction this site needs to head for too. Sure we have our eras of activity, but loyal members end up resurrecting cats many times over or coming up with elaborate excuses for their OC's absence. Why not let them die and have clans of haunting ghost cats that come and go, and pretend to live life normally along side the few living? "The Lost Generation" now becomes an entirely new meaning.
2) Create a new OC. If you still want a live cat but think Ivy has had his time, then why not?

I tried making a new cat and Sleetfur never really got off the ground. The dreams having consequences is interesting, and roaming the forest dead has immense potential. But I think roaming dead has even greater potential for Frosty who can now haunt the few surviving Clan cats. But I think the problem with having few live cats is that then in the case of a resurgence, it becomes more difficult to have the Clan ranks filled. I might try roaming dead though, thanks for the great input.

I could see how the lack of live cats and a surplus of haunting starry ancestors around would be a problem in a site revival. However, if there was a clan in that position, I'd have no problem if a spirit stepped up into a higher position in the clan (Ex. A former leader/deputy/warrior takes leadership over the dead in the clan if none are alive or the living are too young/Old dead medicine cat becomes current Medicine cat if the clan lacks one). Of course, if a living cat came in and proved themselves worthy, the dead cat(s) in position would have to relinquish their role and step down or go back to StarClan. It's a new dynamic, but there are definitely flaws to everything though. You could always try out Sleetfur again if you wanted, but I wouldn't mind for a ghost Ivy to walk around either.

I don't think dead cats should have ranks in the Clans. Are they material? Do they have to eat? There are a lot of questions about certain physical characteristics that need to be answered before we try it. I think it could work out as an ingenious way to keep the site partially active, but I think the ghost cats should just interact with the Clan cats and not be a part of the Clan directly. They could come and give ominous warnings and all sorts of things. But ghosts having ranks could be an idea we might want to follow through on. I never really developed much personality with Sleet but I might give it a second try.

Fuzzy: your idea about giving TLG new meaning with living-dead cats is amazing. You blew my mind a little.
And yes, I understand where you're coming from, Ives. It's been a bit weird RPing now that I'm dead. But it's kinda fun too. You should come check out "Remnants." You could join too. It's not too long yet, and it's starting to get interesting. Fuzzy, you can come too ;D

Thanks! I have my brilliant moments sometimes.
I thought about joining in but I'm still waiting when the thread gets a tad stabler so pretty much every cat is more or less on the same page... or when I'm bored and in a good mood to write. Whichever comes first!

Okay, but am I material or not? I don't quite get the physics of ghost Ivy. I'd be glad to join though.

General Rules of being a feline ghost/spirit: Sorry for the wall of text. I'm on my iPod too so excuse typos.
-Most of the time the living can't touch you. -However you can choose whether or not to touch them. (Exception: During battle, both you and the living can always physically hit each other to avoid unfair combat.) -The dead cannot be seen by the non-believing living -StarClan cats are only visible to those who are faithful to the Warrior Code -Dark Forest Warriors usually only appear before those they wish to recruit to their side or to Warriors who already too far down the path of evil to be considered in StarClan -However, exceptions to the last two rules are commonly made in times of need -Note when the dead choose to walk amongst the living in the real world, they are always seen (I listed above the details of who is seen who by who). They can't choose to just be "invisible". -StarClan and Dark Forest Warriors can only watch the living without being seen when they are in their respective Spirit Worlds in Silverpelt where only the dead reside. (However, Dark Forest Warriors seem to rarely gaze upon the living unless their living recruits have done something significant.) - StarClan and Dark Forest Warriors can interact with each other normally. They can always see each other, touch each other, etc. Basically like living cats but dead, obviously. -StarClan and Dark Forest Warriors, while they come from different clans, don't experience clan divisions as sharply as they did living (unless that was a major part of their personality). Clan loyalty diffently still does exsis though (Ex. A dead WindClan Warrior probably won't help out a ThunderClan Warrior). Think of StarClan and the Dark Forest as two different clans. -StarClan cats have the power to appear in others dreams and can create visions/signs to the living. Dark Forest Warriors generally cannot, but they can manipulate the environment to make it seem like something was a sign and powerful Dark Forest Warriors have been known to figure out the "secret" of entering dreams. Note that dreams seem to take place in StarClan, but cats can be lured into the Dark Forest. -Only StarClan can make prophecies. (Note: The ancient order before StarClan (Pre-Tribe of Endless Hunting) has once passed down a prophecy that connected Firestar and a few of his descendants. Since our RP is what happened if the clans didn't move from the forest, it's safe to say that didn't come true which led to the dismal state the clans are in now. Or we can create a "correction" or "consequence" of the prophecy. Maybe one that outlines a "curse" that the restless dead must now walk among the living?) -Usually dead cats that have contact with the living have some drive or "will" to do so. This can be a variety of reasons. From the serious to silly, it really depends on the cat's personality and how they died. For Ivy, it could just be his stubbornness and love for his clan that makes him stick around. Maybe Frosty's still here to redeem herself and turn back to good, or is here to mess with the living like she did when she was alive.
If I missed anything, I need to elaborate, or if you have any questions feel free to ask. Also, these aren't set in stone since the authors haven't given an official rulebook on what the dead can and cannot do. This is simply what I've observed in Series 1-4, every special edition books, manga, and guidebooks written.

Wow, that's a lot. But I think that pretty much covers most questions anyone in the Dark Forest of StarClan could ask about their predicament. I'll RP in Remnants soon. Thanks Fuzzy!

Yes, please do RP in Remnants! We could use another person to spice things up. Especially a dead guy. ;D
